The One Fat Loss Weight Training Tips

There are certain stereotypes surrounding weight training programs designed to burn fat and a large part of these stereotypes center around… bulk! That is, people assume that all forms of weightlifting involve packing on large amounts of muscle to assume the dimensions of a competitive bodybuilder.

While it is true that there are some weight lifting programs that help in packing on significant muscle mass, there are many weight loss programs that serve different purposes.

These goals include increasing strength, recovering from injuries and, of course, losing fat. It is the weight loss training program that we will focus on.

First, we must shed some life on the notion of using body weight to “tone” muscles. This is a confusion because a muscle cannot become toned because a muscle can grow or become smaller from exercise but it cannot take on new dimensions. What is meant by toning is when the stored fat is burned and the muscles become more visible.

Often, this is achieved through weight loss training programs that rely on high repetitions to lift low amounts of weight. For example, one can perform a weight loss training exercise such as 15 repetitions of 5 lbs dumbbell curl for 4 sets.

To complete four sets at this high repetition rate will burn more calories than one set will burn lifting weights for short repetitions. Granted, one will not develop significant muscle mass with a fat loss weight training program but that is not the goal.

What makes this type of weight loss exercise program most beneficial is that even though weight lifting is involved, very little strength is required. This is because the total weight is very little. In fact, it’s not uncommon to release weights doing fat loss weight training exercises with elastic bands instead. (Note: sufficient tension is required on the cord or it will not work)

Also, it is important to emphasize that high reps are essential to a successful fat loss weight training program. If you can’t do high reps with the weight you’ve chosen, then please lower the amount of weight to a more manageable level.

High reps are the center of calorie burning needed to make a weight loss exercise program work and they should not be compromised.

If you do such a program regularly and, even better, supplement your fat loss weight training program with a fat burning product, you will definitely see the fat melt away faster than you think.

All it takes is a little effort on your part.
