Weight Watchers and Medifast – Can You Use Them Together? My Opinion
I recently received letters in which the author asked me if he could combine the two Medifast meals with the weight watchers. In particular, she wanted to use Medifast shakes, oatmeal, some soups, and pudding and also use the weight watcher’s ice cream menu. He wanted to know if I would recommend this exercise and if I thought it would be effective in helping him lose weight. I will tell you what I said to him in the next article.
Combining Weight Watchers’ Dietary Supplements with Other Dietary Choices: I don’t think it’s necessary for me to tell the author that he can’t try this job. After all, the body can do that. But, from my research and personal experience, junk foods are high in calories, carbs, and sugars to help you lose weight faster than you would with any other diet. But, I believe Medifast works because it cuts down on calories, sugars and carbs. By doing this, your body can enter ketosis where it can burn fat instead of carbohydrates. From my research and experience, I know that the average person eats too much sugar and carbohydrates. And from looking at the nutrition facts for smart people, it seems that these foods do little to address this problem. I’ll look at some specific ingredients in both foods to illustrate this point below.
Comparing nutrition, sugar, and carbohydrates in known and similar Medifast meals: To examine the content of both foods, I looked at concrete samples from both foods. First, I looked at some breakfast foods. A weight watcher’s English muffin sandwich has 210 calories, 3 grams of sugar, and 27 grams of carbohydrates. Medifast Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal has 100 calories, 1 gram of sugar, and 15 grams of carbohydrates. As you can see, one food is 1/2 as bad as the other.
Medifast asks you to eat a new healthy meal that you do every day. This is known as the “oil and green” diet and most people eat this diet at lunch. This is why I compare lunches. From the experts on the list, I look at Santa Fe beans and rice. This has 310 calories, 6 grams of sugar, and 51 carbohydrates. Now, let’s check the Medifast cheese. You have under 1/2 the calories (and only 110.) Very little sugar, at only one gram. So, the carbohydrate content is less than 15 grams.
The Bottom Line: Of course this article is partly based on my own experiences and opinions. But, I also believe that comparing foods side by side is a very compelling argument that one of these foods will give you a greater chance of success than the other. It has less than half the calories, carbohydrates, and sugars of others. In my experience, you have to be good at all these numbers in order to lose weight in a fast pace.
It is not necessary to interrupt the success you can achieve by eating outside the plan twice a day. This way, you’re stalling your progress and undoing all the steps you’ve taken that day. Medifast is designed to work as a system. There’s nothing stopping people from taking bits and pieces from two different foods, but what about you? In my opinion, the reason people go on a diet is to lose weight in a quick way. And in my opinion, combining these two foods does not have the power to achieve this and stick to the same diet as it is called.
