Yes, ladies (and gentlemen), winter is over, it’s time to take off the dark clothes, the big clothes, and start thinking about what we want to wear and look great indoors (or outdoors) during the spring and summer months. It’s time to get ready for swim season. It doesn’t matter if it’s a small bikini or a nice piece. You want to be ready and look your best, no matter what you wear.

If you start now, you can get your swimming body in shape by summer (or earlier). So, how do you get in shape, without starving yourself and spending hours exercising. Diet and exercise are fine, but you don’t need them if you want to lose a few pounds or inches and get a hot belly at the same time.

Let’s do the math. If you read the articles on my website, you know that it takes 3500 calories to build a pound. It is not difficult to eat 3500 calories, but if you want to lose weight, you need to remove those calories from your diet. Well, let’s say you want to lose ten pounds in two months. That’s a reasonable goal, at least one pound per week.

However, ten pounds X 3500 calories = 35000 calories you should take. Divide those calories by 60 days and you end up with over 580 calories per day. So the question is, “How do you get 580 calories a day from your diet”?

So here’s the trick, if you want to get in shape quickly and easily, just change the way you eat and be more active every day. Subtract those calories from the foods you eat every day.

Here’s how you can do it.

1. Breakfast. A study at the University of Illinois showed that people who started the day with a high-protein breakfast consumed 200 fewer calories per day than those who ate a high-carb breakfast, such as you and bag, toast and just jelly. A high protein breakfast can include eggs and bacon if you like. A high protein breakfast will keep you full for longer, increase your metabolism and burn more body fat.

You’ve dropped two hundred calories and you’re almost half way to your goal of 580 calories. What else can you do?

2. Do you drink one or two sodas a day? Let’s say you’re a little picky and only have one drink. Replace that soda with unsweetened iced tea or water with a squeeze of lemon. You’ve cut another 120 calories. Now you’re up to 320 calories saved. How are we doing? So far, no pain, just weight loss.

But you still need to lose 260 calories to reach your 580 calorie goal. What else can you do?

3. Pack your lunch instead of eating out. The information on the USDA website indicates that you will save about 106 calories. That’s probably because most people pack a lighter lunch than you can at a fast food place.

Now you’re up to 426 calories, but some people don’t like to pack lunch. Still need to lose 160 calories, so what do you do?

4. Turn off the TV and eat at the dining table. According to a study published in the book Trends in Food Science & Technology, the majority of people who do not eat eat 300 calories per meal. Binge eaters tend to eat more and eat longer. Just one meal at the table can save you 300 more calories.

Well, it saves up to 726 calories per day, without pain, just losing weight. Do the math again and you can lose over twelve pounds in two months. And you didn’t think about exercise, going to the gym.

5. How to make the body stronger? Small changes can reap big rewards. Studies have shown that you will burn more calories from simple activities like this: Standing up while talking on the phone burns 50 calories every 20 minutes. Parking at the end of the office or commercial parking lot will allow you to use an additional 50 cars. Playing vigorously with your children or pets for 30 minutes burns an additional 160 calories.

Another 260 calories used without pain, just weight loss. And you can move up to 986 calories taken per day. About two pounds of bad fat can be lost every week.

Can you do this? Of course you can. The truth is that if you reduce those calories from the foods you eat, you will burn more in your daily activities and lose weight faster. Follow these five tips and you’ll get your swimming body in no time, feel feminine and boost your self-esteem at the same time.
