Smoked Fish Recipes That You Can’t Afford Not To Try
Smoking enhances the taste and flavor of the food. Smoked fish is very popular because of its taste. Fish with more fat such as salmon, tuna or sea bass are best for smoking compared to leaner ones (although leaner tastes great).
So, if you’re wondering what a unique dish to eat for dinner, try one of these smoked fish recipes:
Haddock And Spicy Red Potatoes
What you need:

4 pcs. Smoked haddock fillets

1/2 kg. peel and cut into 1 inch pieces

1 onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, chopped

1 inch root ginger, finely chopped
-
2 small green chilies, seeded and finely chopped
-
1 cup baby spinach
-
4 tablespoons of oil
-
2 tablespoons butter, melted
-
2 tablespoons black mustard
-
1 teaspoon turmeric
-
Salt and black pepper
Place the fillets in a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush with butter and season with black pepper. Lay it out.
In a pot, heat the oil and cook the onion until soft. Add the garlic, ginger, green chilies, mustard seeds and turmeric and cook for a few minutes. Add the potatoes, stir well, season with salt and cook covered for 15 minutes.
When ready, add the spinach and cook for another 5 minutes until the spinach is wilted and the potatoes are soft. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cook the haddock on a preheated griddle over high heat until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Arrange 4 warm plates and place a wedge on each plate, then divide the red potatoes between the plates.
Salmon Fried Trout
What you need:

All trout fillets
For salt

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup kosher salt

1 tablespoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder
For glass

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup honey
-
2 tablespoons brown sugar
-
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Combine the salty ingredients on a plate and using clean hands, place the fillets on the plate and sprinkle the mixture over all the fillets. Place the fillets on a baking sheet, cover with saran wrap and refrigerate for 6 hours.
When ready, wash thoroughly, pat dry, and place in a cool, well-ventilated area to sit for 3 hours. To prepare, cook the trout in a preheated oven (140 degrees). Combine the ingredients in a bowl and brush the fish with the mixture at the end of each hour.
When the fish reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees after a few hours, you can remove it.
