Keep this in mind as you plan your day, and make breakfast your largest meal, lunch your medium-sized meal and dinner your smallest meal. Fill your dinner plate with high-fiber, low-calorie vegetables and you’ll feel full for hours and won’t be tempted to snack late at night. That alone is a MAJOR step on the road to the fastest weight loss!

3. Reduce your “white” carbs and increase protein – White carbohydrates (bread, pasta, rice, sweets) cause a dramatic spike in insulin when eaten, which has the side effect of keeping fat around the body instead of burning it for energy. Instead try to make protein the focus of every meal, and make vegetables your side dish. Never eat white carbs past 8pm, make it a rule!

4. Slow down the pace when at the dining table – A simple rule my Asian mother taught me when I was a child growing up in Taiwan was to take a bite, put down my chopsticks or utensil while I was chewing food, swallow it, then pick up the chopsticks or utensil for another bite. Amazingly this is still one of my fastest weight loss methods that I teach my clients because when timed with a watch most of them eat the whole thing in less than 6 minutes! Slow your pace by just 20-30% and you’ll find you can eat more calories per meal without them being converted to fat.

5. Wear walking shoes – Make walking a fun habit. Just 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes after dinner will produce an incredible jump in your metabolism, allowing you to burn around 200-300 calories of fat throughout the day. Asian women consider walking to be one of our fastest weight loss tips, it’s so powerful when done daily. In addition, it allows you to enjoy nature and the environment, which makes you calm and at the same time reduces stress.
