How a Pilates Chair Revived My Sex Life

Most people who use a Pilates Chair use it for reasons like fitness, weight loss, low impact rehabilitation, etc. Not me, I started using a Pilates Chair for one simple reason, better sex! The pubococcygeus muscle or PC muscle is a hammock like muscle found in both sexes that stretches from the pubic bone to the tailbone forming the floor of the pelvic cavity. Now that you know what and where it is located, it is important to know when you have used it.

How many of you have needed to pee really badly but were forced to hold it for whatever reason? The first 5-10 minutes is somewhat manageable, but after about 30 minutes things literally start to go south! You guessed it, the gnawing feeling of the urge to keep “going” comes from the PC muscle.

Here is where it gets interesting. Very few men, or women for that matter, know that a well-exercised PC muscle can do wonders for a man’s “woody”. In fact, the PC is the most important muscle regarding a man’s sexual health and performance. It controls the strength and angle of the erection and the intensity of orgasms – nice import wouldn’t you agree?

Here’s how it works

Now that you know the importance of the PC muscle, you are ready to strengthen it with an exercise called “PC pull-ups”. While sitting on the Pilates chair, slowly squeeze your PC as you exhale, hold the contraction, then slowly relax the muscle as you inhale. Make sure you are squeezing your PC and not just squeezing your sphincter.

Get into a routine

As with any new exercise, start slow and work your way up to, say, two sets of 10 reps. Do this every other day and increase by one set per week for a whole month. In the beginning you may experience muscle pain, but that will go away as you strengthen the muscle.

After several weeks of this exercise, you will notice stronger erections and an increase in the force of your ejaculation. Who knows, with a healthy PC muscle, you can even raise and lower a towel hanging from your erect penis. If that’s the case, I encourage you to save this trick for at least the second date.
