That’s basically because I’m more active in outdoor activities and I want to impress those who look at this 46-year-old man in good shape. LOL

The way to lose weight…Naturally

Here’s the deal man! If you really want to lose weight and keep it off, you can. It is not complicated. Most people already know this, but they are waiting for someone like me to come along to reinforce their knowledge. I don’t mind! I also need that sometimes.

But, for those who want to act like they don’t know what to do, stick to a diet that is high in complex carbohydrates, high in fiber, moderate in protein, and low in fat.

Eat baked potatoes instead of fries Baked is a complex carb. Fat is the sour cream and butter that you should not put on it. Fiber is vegetable. Protein is a lean cut of meat. Fat is the sauce that you don’t have to go over.

My number one suggestion for real is to eat lots of fruit throughout the day to lose weight (not that canned stuff with high fructose syrup either) real fruit. Bananas, apples, oranges, strawberries, pears, etc. You get the picture. Replace at least one of your meals with a protein shake, and eat two well-proportioned meals. Oh yes, also a lot of water. This will make you feel full.

I just have to say this. Don’t fall into the trap of buying all this so-called fat-free stuff and believing it to be the cure for your weight problems. It is not. In fact, most products that claim to be fat-free are not. It is true that skim milk has less fat than regular vitamin D milk. Use that in your shakes. But Fat Free Bacon? POR FAVOR!!! That is an oxymoron.

As misleading as it is “no fat” does not mean “non fattening.” The fact is, you often get just as many calories from the no-fat version.

Fat-free can be a trap if you start believing that you can eat whatever you want whenever you want, as long as it says fat-free. You are setting yourself up for failure before you even go..

When all else fails and you find yourself getting hungry and you just can’t tolerate the stomach ache you wimp (JK), grab yourself a granola bar or drink some more water. Anything healthy will do. Don’t even think about the low-fat menu at Subway! It’s not happening my friend

Remember, if you want to lose weight naturally, you need to track every food you eat and every activity you do. Weigh yourself regularly and reward yourself with something when you make progress. That scale is a very good motivator

Losing weight naturally is a process. So, set goals for yourself and go for them. I’m rooting for you! If I can do it, you can do it!
