You either want to lose weight or you don’t. Let’s continue. This is a simple and very effective weight loss diet. In this article, I will give you just one step in this process. There are five more steps…So, are you ready for the first step? Let’s start:
The first thing you need to do is determine your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). BMR is simply a calculated method to determine how many calories you will burn in an unrealistic (for most people) situation where you do nothing all day except sit on your couch without bothering to get water, go to the bathroom or anything else. If you just sit in one place for 24 hours, without moving. This will be your BMR. You can find BMR calculator pages online just by doing a search for “BMR Calculator”.
Now, after you calculate your BMR, we will then determine the exact amount of calorie intake required for you to maintain your current weight. Why would we want to do that?
Because once we know what kind of calorie intake is needed to maintain your weight, while you’re doing nothing, we can then figure out how much calorie reduction is needed (again, with you doing nothing) for you to lose weight body effectively.
The first thing you need to do is take your BMR and subtract 15% and 20% respectively.
Here’s how: Take your BMR number, say, for example, it’s 2010. You multiply 2010 x 0.15. Use your calculator.
Ok, the number you should get is 301.5. Just round up to 302. Next, subtract 302 from 2010. 2010 – 302 = 1708. That represents a 15% decrease in BMR. Now, let’s do the same thing again to get a 20% drop. 2010 x 0.20 = 402. Subtract 402 from 2010 = 1608.
Ok, here’s the easy part. Just plan your daily caloric input (how much food you will eat) between 1608 calories and 1708 calories.
If you do this one very simple thing, I guarantee that you will lose weight!!
Not hard. Most people won’t make it this far. Here’s the thing. If you just move a little, it will work better and the weight will come off faster.
You noticed I didn’t say the “E” word (exercise)? You don’t need to exercise if you do nothing but stick to this calorie cut. BUT, if you really want to lose it fast, you need to do “a little” exercise AND stick to this 15% – 20% plan.
You will still get a lot of calories input but you will burn them faster than you take in. Makes sense? Is supposed. Now, go get the other five steps.
